Stopped here for the first time. everything was really nicely laid out and the staff were fantastic. Great food and really good price will be back for sure. well done guys
Nice enough wee carvery. Nice atmosphere. Bar staff friendly and helpful, waiting staff friendly but not quite as attentive as perhaps they could have been. Would visit again.
We, my Husband and I , chose to have our Christmas meal here on Christmas Day as we were on our own.We were sorely disappointed! After thinking we would be with like minded people who were looking to enjoy a good meal with some company!! Can not fault the meal, it was delicious. I sort of expected music, happy staff, a bit banter with other diners? I have been to better Wakes!!I have actually had more banter and fun with Staff and diners when we just pop in for a lunch, which we do often, and have done many times over the years. It is our local restaurant.A few smiles a bit chat, some happy music thats all.The whole meal felt dull , and we came out, both very fed up!! Some Christmas!!Sorry Guys but for the cost, a bit effort was needed.
This is a quaint little place. In a quiet location with free ample parking. Went for our works Xmas lunch. You could get the carvery with dessert for only 8.99 or get three courses for 11.99. Good range of options too. The pizzas took a bit longer to come out but the guys who had them said it was worth the wait. All the food we had was great.There was a section for families to sit and it wasn't too busy but it was a weekday we went.Toilets were clean and the staff were lovely.I would recommend.
This is a great little pub and carvery. The food is really great, healthy portions and friendly staff. The converted round mill/building of the old farm is a nice room to sit in and have something too eat also.
