Clean and modern pub style eatery.Decent food at a fair price
Very nice inside staff excellent food plentiful. And a very warm atmosphere well positioned to near shop and bus station etc
Great cosy feel, friendly staff.Cater well for allergies and dietary restrictions. Able to find two desserts of chocolate or apple pie with vegan ice cream . Best yet was winning a free meal in their monthly competition!
Disappointing.The staff were pleasant and service quick, however the carvery was disappointing.The beef was pretty much unbeatable as it was too tough; standard table knives had problems cutting it.The gammon was quite salty, with a big knot of fat running through the middle - which due to the bluntness of the knife, you could only cut around with difficulty.The turkey saved the day, however after fighting with the beef and the gammon, I'd pretty much lost appetite.The two stars is based on my experience on that day at that time and my menu choice; someone else may have had a different menu item and been completely satisfied.
Had the pleasure of stopping here recently and was not disappointed. The room was spotless and a very comfortable bed so good night sleep. The staff are lovely very friendly and nothing was a problem for them we had the carvery which was lovely with the giant Yorkshire pudding and the breakfast was outstanding would not hesitate to book again.
